Step-by-step help for the second page in Action setup for Email, Letter, Social, and Regulation Campaigns

Reminder: This step is only available on Email, Letter, Call, Social, and Regulation Campaigns. Survey Campaigns have their own unique content setup step, which can be referenced in the Surveys Content guide. Generate Content

To begin creating content for your Campaign, you will want to go to the Generate section in the right column. The Information for AI entered in the first step will be available and editable at this stage.

 

The system has several Personas for the advocate to better tailor the Email, Letter, Call Script, or Social Media post to their interests.

For all Campaigns, it is recommended to have one piece of content for the Anybody Persona otherwise the system will attempt to choose a specific one that might not fit the advocate

The different Personas available by default are below and are based on the VoterMatch data available on the advocates matched record:

  • Progressive
  • Anybody
  • Constituent
  • Conservative
  • Moderate
  • Activist
  • Parent
  • Union Supporter

The Recipient options will match the advocate with the Target(s) for them in this Campaign selected in the previous step. The profiles available are: All, Democrat, Republican, and Independent.

The Tone of the content generated by the AI can also be customized to ensure that the appeal to the Target matches the intent of your Campaign. The Tone options are:

  • Immediate
  • Approachable
  • Professional
  • Passionate
  • Informative

Once you have your settings ready, select the Generate button at the bottom of the right column. The AI will take a moment to generate the content. Allow for more time depending on the complexity of the Information for AI prompt.

Save Content

After the Email is generated, in the column on the left you can now edit the content to ensure it meets your organization’s internal standards and the intent of your Campaign.

💾 IT IS IMPERATIVE TO NOTE THAT THE EDITS TO THE CONTENT WILL NOT BE SAVED UNTIL THE SAVE BUTTON IS SELECTED. 💾

 

It does not need to occur early in the process, but be sure to select the button before generating another Persona/Recipient combination or navigating away.

You can further utilize AI by generating a Shorter, Longer, or Simplified version below the Content editor. Additionally, selecting Generate New will create a new piece of content to be edited.

Variables

Within the content section, you are able to use Variables to customize the content for your Email, Letter, Call Script, or Social Media post to direct the message to the Representative by name from the Advocate by name.

⚠️

Only the supported values in the Variable drop down are supported in the tool. If the Variable is incorrectly formatted, it will send the malformed value rather than the intended content. It is recommended that values are only inserted through the dropdown and not entered manually.

Campaign Content

After you have saved an Email, Letter, Call Script, or Social Media post, it will appear at the bottom of the page.

 

The content can be collapsed or expanded by selecting the - or + symbol respectively on the far right of the box. From that section, the content can return the above editor by selecting the Edit button. Finally, the content can be entirely deleted if it is no longer needed in your Campaign.

Below the content itself, you are able to see the Persona and Recipient. Additionally, the Generate Versions button will generate new versions based on the Personas.
