Hub Domain Setup Steps
Before getting started: Confirm if you or your IT manager can change your DNS. If not, your Hub Domain cannot be changed!
N.B: If you are using Wix to manage your site, you are unable to customize your Hub Domain.
By default, your organization’s Hub domain will be [yourorganization].advocacyai.com. If you would like to customize your domain and have confirmed you are able to update your DNS, you can do so by following the steps below.
- Contact help@advocacyai.com and decide the subdomain for your Hub
- Make sure the chosen subdomain is unique and is not used somewhere else in your domain settings.
- We recommend action.yourdomain.com, but you can choose your own.
- We will send you the CNAME to update your DNS record.
- If you are unsure how to do this, please contact your IT department or whoever manages your domain.
- Allow up to 72 hours for propagation before the new domain will work.
Email Domain Setup Steps
Before you begin using any aspect of our email tool, you must confirm you have only email addresses that have legitimately opted into your email program. If you are unsure if the email addresses have opted in to your email program (or acquired this list from a list swap), note that these email addresses cannot be emailed through the system.

- Please confirm that you meet the above requirements.
- You will then need to decide your subdomain and email it to help@advocacyai.com.
- Make sure the chosen subdomain is unique and is not used somewhere else in your domain settings.
- We recommend email.yourdomain.com, if that is available.
- After we receive the subdomain, we will send you the following records which you need to install.
- MX record
- DKIM record
- Domain verification
- If your list has over 5,000 advocates, you will also be provided a DMARC record that you will need to install
- Reach out to help@advocacyai.com when step 3 is completed.
- Once you verify you have installed the records above, we will enable the email unsubscribe and tracking options. This is the last step! After our confirmation, you should be good to send activation emails through AdvocacyAI.
