With Donor Tiers, you can categorize your advocates into different tiers based on their giving history to your organization, their capacity of giving, and other criteria. Donor tiers allow you to customize the donor experience through options like:
- Customizing their donation workflow
- Notifying your development team when major or mid-level donors take action
- Tailoring your in-platform donation asks based on the advocate’s capacity for giving
- Providing a customized message ask
- Tagging the advocate to trigger other AdvocacyAI in-platform workflows like adding them to audiences or automating journeys.

We combine three signals:
- Your existing donor or intelligence data (giving history, frequency, recency)
- Capacity indicators from your own data sources or DonorMatch
- Advocacy behavioral signals like how often someone acts, how they engage, or urgency language built into your AdvocacyAI action

DonorMatch is an optional paid add-on for organizations that don't have their own third-party intelligence data. It automatically scores advocates coming through your platform to flag high-value donor potential and assign them to tiers.
