- ✨ With no external landing page, expect at least 6x more emails to lawmakers
🤔 How Does the Integration Work?
What Data Can I See in AdvocacyAI?
When someone submits a Lead Ad form, Meta uses a webhook to send that data straight to AdvocacyAI.
Here’s what happens:
- A contact record is created or updated
- Their form details show up in your analytics
- Their profile gets tagged automatically — it is recommended to create a tag called “Meta Lead Ads” so you know you know which advocates came from leads. You can manage Tags in the “Advocates” section of AdvocacyAI.
Pro Tip: Make sure your form includes fields for first name, last name, email, and full address to increase VoterMatch rates.
The integration can sync the following fields (depending on what you include in the form):
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Address
- State
- City
- Zip Code
What Will You Need?
Before you dive in, make sure you have the right Meta permissions to connect the dots between your ad account and AdvocacyAI. Check out this article: What permissions do I need to use Meta Lead Ads with AdvocacyAI?
To set up this integration, you’ll need:
- A Facebook Business account with Lead Ads enabled
- Admin-level permissions to manage lead access for your page AND ad account
🚀 Let’s Set It Up
1. Create a Lead Ad Form in Meta
Make sure your ad account has at least one instant form created in Meta. We recommend including these fields: First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Email 📬
2. Provide Access to Your Facebook Pages and Businesses
You will begin this step in AdvocacyAI and be redirected to Facebook to provide access.
- Log into your AdvocacyAI account, then locate “Integrations” in your Account Settings.

- Under the “Conversions” section, click the “Connect with Facebook” button.

- Log into the Facebook account that has the permissions you need. You can learn more about necessary permissions on this guide.

- Choose the pages that you want AdvocacyAI to access and click “Continue”.

- Next, choose the Businesses you want AdvocacyAI to access and select “Continue”.

- Review AdvocacyAI’s access request and select “Save” to move forward.

- Facebook will confirm that your Business page has been connected to AdvocacyAI. Select “Got It” to continue.

3. Connect Your Facebook Assets
You will be redirected to AdvocacyAI for the next couple of steps.
- In the “Available Pages” and “Available Ad Accounts” sections, select “Connect” next to the pages and ad accounts you wish to link.
